The Bottom Line

Golo Golf Dice doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It is a simple, addictive dice game that works well with the golf theme and will provide hours of fun without taxing your brain very much.

I've had a lot of fun with Golo in everything from solo games to a simulated four-day golf tournament with 10 players.

Guide Review - Golo Golf Dice

The basics of the Golo Golf Dice game are simple: roll the nine 12-sided dice (two "par 3" dice, two "par 5" and five "par 4"), set aside as many as you want -- but at least one, reroll the remainder, and repeat until all nine are set aside. At that point, total your schore for nine holes and repeat the entire process to get your 18-hole score.

The par 4 dice are all identical -- one chance at a birdie, three chances at par, and eight results over par. One of the par 3s and one of the par 5s each have an eagle opportunity. The tactical choices are numerous: When is par acceptable? When do you press for a birdie or eagle, risking a bogey or worse?

Golo Golf Dice has more than its share of luck. But it is, after all, a dice game, and the rounds are remarkably quick. This is a truly fun diversion, particularly for golf fans.
