The Essen Game Fair is held at the Messe Essen fair complex in Essen, Germany, about 35 minutes northeast of Düsseldorf.

What You'll See:
Essen is a consumer show, so game companies from around the world gather to show off their latest and best games to the assembled crowds. More than 44,000 square meters (144,000 square feet) of space houses the publishers of just about any type of game you can imagine. The fair also features a section for comic books and related products.
Cost:
Attendance to the Essen Game Fair costs €27 for an adult four-day ticket or €11.50 for an adult one-day ticket. Children under 12 can attend for €15.50 (four-day ticket) or €6.50 (one-day ticket). Group ticket prices are also available.
Accommodations:
Numerous hotels are available near the Essen Game Fair, including the Atlantic Congress Hotel, which is next to the fairgrounds.

Plenty of parking is available at the site of the fair.
